The New Hauteness
now even Hautier than before

Word on the Runway:
Ohne Titel, by Helmut Lang and Karl Lagerfeld alums Alexa Adams and Flora Gill, garnered a profile in Vogue, and its deftly constructed s/s '08 collection consisted of sophisticated knitwear.
If you take the construction of petit mains and apply it to William Gibson-inspired cyberpunk, you wind up with Ohne Titel. From disparate influences like Art Brut and African geometric patterns, the pair gleans an aesthetic all their own.
Anastasia says: The minimalist colors, suits, and generically “African” prints all seem pretty ‘90s. I imagine the wearer of these clothes living in an all-white apartment with, like, one piece of art on the walls and owning a lot of lucite jewelry.
