So Rahm Emanuel is the new chief of staff under Barack Obama, because he worked for the Clintons, is a great spin guy, and looks a lot like Anton Chigurh from No Country For Old Men but with a better haircut.
Who else is on Obama's team of Super Friends? Lots of old Clinton staff, for one thing.
• Adviser and Progressive Liaison: Mike Lux. A Clintonite and Huffington Post writer who will serve during the transitional period as a go-between for the two administrations.
• Full transition team: John Podesta (Clintonite), Pete Rouse (Obama chief of staff in the Senate), and Valerie Jarrett (Obama buddy).
• Head of FCC: Mignon Clyburn or Julia Johnson. No choice has been made yet, but both of these African-American women are rumored to be on Obama's shortlist. First day in office: fine the shit out of Joe Scarborough .
• Secretary of Treasury: Larry Summers. Another shortlist rumor, definitely pushed a lot by the guys over at the Financial Times, where Summers is a writer. Was also Secretary of Treasury for awhile during the Clinton years.
• Cabinet Appointments: John Kerry is a likely candidate, as is Nobel Prize winner and ex VP under Bill Clinton, Al Gore.
Surprisingly not on the list anywhere? Joe Lieberman.
