Not only is the New York Times forcibly showing 15 journos the door, they’re also facing some other troubling news: New Yorkers aren’t getting their papers! We’ve received word that Mitchell’s NY, the delivery service that schleps the Times around town, won’t be doing it in a timely fashion today. And they’re blaming “major production problems at the New York Times” as the cause. Says a note blasted to customers: “All Manhattan newspaper deliveries are very delayed this morning. We apologize for the inconvenience.” Perhaps the Rev. Al Sharpton’s shutdown of New York City yesterday is having residual effects?
