There have been plenty to New York Times ad campaigns that have rubbed us the wrong way. Teaming up with Starbucks was pretty bad, as are the commercials about how New Yorkers will be left in the dust if they don't read the Times.
But this one is by far the strangest.

We guess the pressure of competing with the tabloids isn't just affecting Vanity Fair anymore. Now the New York Times will get you up close and personal with the stars. Of course you won't get as close to Scarlett as her bikini waxer got, but close enough to read a pretty bad review of her movie.
