Those Who Love Videos Presented Hollywood Squares-Style Will Love Slate V

"One of them goes up every day, and they employ actual production tricks beyond simple editing: animation in the Dear Prudence advice column, video Photoshopping in the assessment of what Barack Obama's Achilles' heel might be. Better still, instead of sprinkling the videos haphazardly through the Slate site, it bunches them together, with their own URL and everything ( www.slatev.com). The design, a click-and-play grid showing stills from the nine most recent videos against a slate-gray (of course) background, is simple but dramatic. It makes you want to find out what happens when these images move."

So says Chicago Tribune Internet critic (?!) Steve Johnson.

Now whose advice about video magazine Slate V are you going to trust: The guy who's rubbing one off because it's got its own URL (on sale for $8.95 at GoDaddy.com), or us?
