So you had your fun with the Time Inc. memos and the war stories coming out of 1271 Sixth. Now it's time to count the dead.

• Keith Kelly was saying "as many as 250" this morning, "but it certainly won't be 300."
• Mediaweek says 300. Okay, "close to 300."
• AdAge says 289.
• Jossip says: Fire one more to throw 'em all off again!

They are over-reacting. It's not as though a Time magazine group lawyer crowed at a Legal. Dept. meeting about seizing these periodic opportunities to clean house of 30-year veteran secretaries making $50K a year (altho they're probably the reason the magazines make deadline and delivery.)
