The whole "magazines/newspaper/media industry is a wreck right now" trope is getting so old, and you sort of hope that the next article you read is going to be about job increases, not necessarily because you want people to have work again (you do!), but just so you can write about something else for a change.
In the meantime though, we've rounded up the three most shocking debasements in the media world in the last two days: just in case you were in college for English or Media Studies and still thought it was a good idea.
• You are now paying for the gift of an internship at Condé Nast.
• Valet parking pays as much as a day of work at a newspaper, and is part of the job requirement, anyway.
• Star-Ledger editors who didn't take the buyouts find themselves working in the mail room.
