Two Months and 600 Pages Later, Con Ed Makes Bold Move: Avoiding Responsibility

In a stunning turn of events, Consolidated Edison is not blaming itself for July's blackout in Queens. You could read all 600 pages of the report the utility just released, or you could soak up our sympathy*-less sarcasm, like the part where we comment on how ConEd left one hundred thousand people to sweat (some to death) and, as part of its solution, will be adding 250 phone lines to field calls from customers. You know, so they're even more overwhelmed by repetitive expletives about the power being out.
