It's going to be that much harder to believe Vincent D'Onofrio's acting skills now that the NYPD is cracking down on actors donning police uniforms. The Screen Actors Guild issued a memo to its members, warning them not to buy or carry police uniforms, thanks to a revised regulation from city officials.

But the city hasn't been too clear on how its regulation changes will affect actors like those on Law & Order, who wear the uniforms as part as their dayjob. While producers say they don't expect to be affected, might we suggest outfitting Mariska Hargitay in red latex instead?
