We Ask Ourselves Again: What's the Point of Living Here Exactly?

Kohls

From the New York Times' business section:

So Kohl’s is about to do something that a growing number of budget chains in the Midwest and South have done already: open an office in New York, a symbol of excess that is squarely at odds with its frugal corporate culture.

Aren't you glad you pay $1200 for a shoebox studio apartment just so that you can live in New York? The place you ran full pace away from the Midwest to be part of? We're not sure there are enough New Yorkers or Mud Truck coffees to make up for this one.

I've bought Isaac Mizrahi from Target and I get a lot of compliments on his clothes. Hey, why not? If they are willing to make and I'm willing to buy…. as Dolly Levi would say, "IT'S A MATCH!". I'm using Isaac as an example, but I could never afford to spend top dollar for designer clothing and this way, he's getting seen and noticed. I think it's a good relationship between a designer and the People.

I am transplanted to the Midwest and I will be the first to admit I lurvvvv Kohls…Shop right and you can get some pretty good stuff. The CheapoChaps line is actually pretty nice. Well worth a drive to the Minneapolis suburban hell that is all around.
