Harsh truth time: Facebook will be more popular than MySpace. It has better page layout, a wealthier base and more potential. MySpace is still good for music though.
But these harsh truths doesn’t stop USA Today from running a puff piece on the pretense that MySpace still stands a chance:
The goal is to make MySpace the starting point for people on the Internet, where they can check in on the activities of friends, peruse e-mail, get the latest on news and weather, and post their favorite photos and videos. "We're offering one place where people are in control," [Chris] DeWolfe coolly explains at an L.A. restaurant near MySpace's offices, cradling a cocktail.
Thanks, but no thanks. Our starting point on the internet doesn’t have flash ads.

I agree. I dont wake up 2 flashes, so y the f*ck do or would I want it on my page?
I dont do facebook, nor myspace, nor xanga, nor
Friendster , nor twitter, nor multiply, nor vox, nor Orkut .
myspace rocks so stop spamming.
Facestalkerbook will never be like it.
When you consider the demographics of Facebook… 89% white, middle-class, college educated… whereas MySpace includes everyone… doesn't censor like Facebook… doesn't spy like Facebook… I am always baffled as to why Facebook users are so rude about MySpace… it's an elist little website… fine… but doesn't even compare in active users or website traffic with MySpace. Facebook has 62 million active, MySpace 130 million, 223 registered… third vistied website in the U.S. and 6th in the world… leagues before Facebook. The MySpace vs. Facebook thing is so weird… Facebook users are very snobby about it. You may think MySpace is ugly, but at least it is creative… with music, art, images, user-gerenrated… Facebook… blue, white, linear, controlled, rules, rules, rules… I am baffled by it.
