What to Do With Sunday's Meet The Press?

As tasteless as it may seem, the rush to find out what to do with Sunday's Meet The Press, following Tim Russert's sudden death at NBC's D.C. studio this afternoon, is on. We're told Steve Capus & Co. are already plotting out what to do, and it's likely Andrea Mitchell will be asked to chair the show, though David Gregory is also a candidate. It's very possible Sunday's show will be used, at least in part, to air a video memorial of Russert, with Tom Brokaw being asked to join the panel, along with Chuck Todd, and others. It's unclear what the role of Brian Williams, who is anchoring NBC Nightly News from Afghanistan, will be, says, a source.

    No. 1 Paul says:

Do not replace him with anyone who is or has ever been on MSNBCOBAMA because their lack of credibilty is already affecting NBC's reputation.

Noone is irreplaceable. They will give different people a chance and eventually settle on someone. Noone knows how "great" someone can/will be until they are given a chance. I just hope that all the hoopla will die down and we will let Tim Russert rest in peace and we will all get on with life and the living….There are so many other capable people and, after all, it is just a discussion about politics….not a cure for cancer or heart disease, world hunger or child abuse…..let us please move on to the business at hand…
