What was the Second Highest Grossing Film in 2008?
 


Because damn, we all knew that Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight was going to shatter the box office this year, but the $996.8 million that movie made put it at least $22 million ahead of the second place winner, which was also a sequel of sorts.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull gave Paramount a nice little boost of $786.6 million, despite being critically panned and made fun of on South Park. Third place was Kung Fu Panda with $631.9 million, while Wall-E didnt even make it on the top five.

Meanwhile, that $22 million difference between The Dark Knight and Indiana Jones is only $20 million less than There Will Be Blood made in its entire US run last year. Because people hate good movies, unless it involves Batman.
