What's Disney Supposed to Do With Post-Tween Miley Cyrus?

Have a friend that's done you wrong? Disney is now providing you with an unintentional revenge opportunity: a five a.m. wake-up call from their controversial tween money-machine Miley Cyrus.

The back-to-school site Hannah Montana Calls is a Wall-Mart campaign purportedly for parents trying to woo their kids out of bed in the morning with a semi-personalized phone call from the singer.

But since you can type in any phone number into the website, it has a great potential for misuse. Like sex predators hounding their prey.

This is only the latest of ill-advised Montana endorsements.

Ever since the public outcry over the Vanity Fair photo shoot this summer, Disney seems unsure of how to market the aging child star. Miley has stated she wants to be taken seriously by adult audiences. Having risque photos of her leaked on the Internet did not work for Lindsay Lohan, either.

Disney's problem now is figuring out how to promote the once-commercially viable Tween Cyrus as she ages out of her original demo.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen faced a similar dilemma as they graduated from cute babies into grade school pixies and, finally, into whatever it is they are now. (Wrongful death suspects? Harlots?) The Olsens weathered the usual transition-into-adult drama, with their 18th birthdays celebrated as a chance to legally fuck Jesus.

And Cyrus is no different: She's caught between hosting Nickelodeon's Teen Choice Awards and turning down a $1 million endorsement deal from LifeStyle Condoms.

First of all, let's all remember that she's still only fifteen. Secondly, let's remember that this "Hannah Montana Calls" campaign was probably orchestrated by Disney and definitely not orchestrated by her herself - so there's no point in blaming her for that.

What I find interesting is why everyone is so concerned with any of this anyways. If she wasnt a star no one would care. Maybe someone should come up with a list of rules that each celeb must follow so that there wont be any more of this bitching. If she wants to act like an adult then let her. Shes done a lot more with her life at just 15 than most of you ever will because your too busy worring about what everyone else is doing.
