When Life Imitates Entourage
The Ouroboros of premium cable characters

Want to party like the stars of HBO's brat-pack on Entourage? Well, too bad, you can't. But they can! On a plane! One part television watching opportunity, seventeen parts marketing gimmick, space tourist and Virgin America chief Richard Branson will fly the cast of Entourage from JFK to Las Vegas — which just so happens to coincide with the launch of Virgin's JFK to Las Vegas service — while passengers get to screen the first episode of the show's fifth season. Virgin's publicists are eager to inform you this is the first in-flight television premiere ever. (The seventh season's premiere, we imagine, will take place aboard a Virgin Galactic flight, where viewers will be weightless. And nauseous.)

Not surprising for an actor like Adrian Grenier, who in his fictional role and in real life enjoys the comforts of luxury air travel. But Branson's publicity stunt, complete with flutes of Dom Perignon, will only reinforce the real-life Vinny Chase's sense of entitlement. He already turned eco-friendliness into a chance to shower with girls. Now he's got an excuse to join the mile high club for the sake of method acting.
