Will Kathy Campbell Be PageSix.com's First Major Casualty?
More from inside the fiery halls of PageSix.com

If the latest gossip out of PageSix.com is to be believed, Kathy Campbell will soon be out the door. Her "constant tears and tantrums" have worn on her bosses, namely Dave Boyle.

Campbell, the New York bureau chief who arrived for the website's launch from In Touch, "is almost as bad as [news director Jacki] Gallo and [former staffer Sean] Borg with her attendance these days," says a source. "She lives upstate on a farm with her husband who works as a prison guard (lovely). Campbell keeps goats on the farm and misses them while at work."

Are emotions getting the best of her? We're told that the day Heath Ledger died, she ran out of digital media VP Chris Shaw's office screaming and hyperventilating. Whether from Ledger's death or otherwise, she needed a few days of time off to recuperate.

And then there's her tenuous relationship with managing editor David Boyle, who's already been starring in our serialized drama. "They are constantly at each others throats," says our tipster. "She is always complaining about him," mostly the fact that she's required to participate in the breaking news cycle.

Boyle's response? "Fuck her." Or at least that's what we imagine it would be, given his proclivity to use the F word. (Campbell can't stand it. Neither can staffer, who was "reduced to tears in the LA office recently for swearing at her and apparently had to apologize to the whole office.")

For now, as we understand it, Campbell remains on staff there, but her colleagues wouldn't be surprised if she exited, voluntarily or not, very soon.

Don't think the problem with Campbell. Someone that just "left" PageSix.com is out to get her. I'm told she is extremely professional and this is completely untrue.

It is so obvious that one of you Jossip jokers covets her job. Get a life because you sure don't have much of a job.

It is rather horrific that Kathy Campbell lives on a farm in upstate New York with goats and horses. I should be so unfortunate.

And since when do we slam prison guards? Are policemen next? How about Soldiers?

This takes the cake. "Boyle’s response? “Fuck her.” Or at least that’s what we imagine it would be"

Why don't we invent some other quotes like; "President Bushes response? “Fuck IRAN and lets bomb them.” Or at least that’s what we imagine it would be."

That is rather pathetic, and the definition of yellow journalism.

You guys can do better than that. I am embarassed for you. At least you spelled Boyles name right this time around lol.

Her behavior was the same at In Touch - where she had been relegated to working at home.

Oh yeah, the end is near, yup so near, so everyone check out http://www.entertainmentcareers.net - especially you Hager.

Leave Boyle alone… the campaigns starts here…

TMZ does NOT want Hager back - that's what Daniel says anyway!

No. 6 In Touch Insider says:

At In Touch, bully Kathy caused so much friction that was banned from the office and told to work at home except one day a week for looooong stretches that lasted for months. She rewrote everybody's text every chance she got, just for ego reasons, and never improved it. Instead, she was the ultimate editorial vampire, sucking out all fun, heart, style and color from all text her notorious fangs could reach. When she left for Page Six, cheers echoed across Englewood Cliffs.

As someone who worked with her, I can say this is completely untrue. Kathy was professional at all times and it was the staff, the lowly staff, all jostling for bylines and ways to get their name in the paper. They caused all the infighting and made the situation untenable at all times.
