Without 'white trash' we couldn't read tabloids

Paris Hilton

Google, Google, hear our call: who's the white trashiest of all them all?

It seems that some of our nation's papers are throwing around the term "white trash" and journalist Chuck Darrow is not very pleased. His Google search of the term turned up some 2,000 results, many of them leading to the sites of pubs like the Atlanta Journal, the Village Voice (big shocker there), and the San Fransico Chronicle.

Ooh, ooh, we wanted to Google "white trash," too! And of course, we came upon our favorite online source, Urban Dictionary. The most popular definition?

Anyone who goes by the name Paris Hilton, wants to be Paris Hilton, knows Paris Hilton, or has spent one night in Paris Hilton.

"Paris Hilton proves you don't have to be poor to be white trash".

Come on, Chuck, relax. If we tossed out the words "white trash" for good, then Star and Us Weekly wouldn't have anything for us to read at the gym.

The term 'white trash' should be tossed out for good [Chuck Darrow, Courier Post]
