Yet another New York newspaper

With the New York Observer on the block and cutting output, the New York Sun virtually invisible already, and the Village Voice ditching its indie cred to merge with the New Times, you know what New York City needs right now? A new paper.

But forget the salmon/pink/peach-colored pages of those tired rags. The New York Megaphone launches this spring packing as much full-color as it is free-speech — and they're on the hunt for both people the Gotham Gazette turned away.

With an initial circulation of 30,000, we'll publish muckraking, investigative, controversial stories and give voice to writers whose subject material is normally censored by mainstream TV and newspaper outlets. We are looking for professional journalists whose work is solid, sourced, and mind-blowing.

It's possible to be both objective and partisan, for the truth.

It's possible to be free of bias, and free of centrism.

It's not possible, it seems, to just hand over your reading capacity to am New York and call it a day.
