You Know What New Orleans Needs Right Now? Junk Mail
Totally not even J/k'ing

Someone has finally found a productive use for promotional direct-mail (you know, junk); rebuild New Orleans with it! Oh cute, but not literally (though it probably would be more sturdy then those levees), rather junk-mail contributor Valassis Communications' RedPlum is donating their distribution database to track the speed of recovery in the city. Sure, it's one step above census takers, but this way you might actually get a free pizza at Papa Johns out of it.
