PrisonTalk.com, an online community boasting 150,000 members, allows the family and friends of the three percent of America that's behind bars to chat and commiserate. It's no Facebook for the prison community, though it's color scheme is similar. And where the social networking giant has problems supporting its $15 billion valuation with a dismal supply of advertisers, Prison Talk is generating cash: "Small but constant banner ads, targeted for his audience, run along the top of Prison Talk. 'Going to Federal Prison?' reads one, advertising a tips-and-tricks prison guidebook. 'Make it easy on yourself.' Other ads appear for Western Union and the Toyota Matrix (“Get in touch with your dark side”)." Not shockingly: Toyota's Yaris sponsored Fox's Prison Break.
